Daniil Egorov, Commissioner of the Federal Tax Service of Russia, and Edvard Hovhannisyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, have discussed further cooperation and coordination of tax administration procedures in Russia and Armenia.

Alexander Egorichev, Deputy Commissioner of the FTS of Russia, presented to the Armenian colleagues the pilot project implemented by the FTS of Russia to introduce traceability mechanisms to prevent illegal imports and trafficking of goods. He also pointed out that from July 1, 2021, a national traceability system will be introduced in the Russian Federation, which will make it possible to trace the origin of goods, their movement, supply chains, and identify possible risks.

Other digital systems of the FTS of Russia were also presented to the Armenian delegation: the Online Cash Registers System, the Digital Tax Regime for Self-Employed, and the cooperative compliance system. The colleagues noted the simplicity and convenience of the My Tax application and expressed interest in applying the Federal Tax Service's experience to the taxation of self-employed individuals in Armenia.

The parties agreed to launch a joint pilot project on product traceability. Edvard Hovhannisyan noted that the implementation of the joint pilot project will contribute to the establishment of a unified system of product traceability within the EAEU. This will speed up the process of free movement of goods and optimize the supply chains between the EAEU countries.

The parties decided to set up a project group to develop electronic data interchange and work out proposals for project implementation. Daniil Egorov emphasized that the electronic data interchange system reduces costs and provides the basis for seamless tax administration. These benefits can be increased by improving the compatibility of such systems at the international level.
